Wondering if there are any people on here that used to live on LI but moved, for one reason or another. I used to live in North Merrick, until 9-11 (ok, it was a coincidence, and quite scary at that!).

I moved out to Arizona, where I have been living since. I have gone back to visit a couple of times, but there is never a good time to visit! The winters are too cold and the summers are too humid! I suppose April-June or Sept-Oct aren't too bad, but living in Arizona it's difficult to get used to the change in weather.

Anywho, was wondering what everyone's story is!

Ha! come on guys- sure LI isnt the worst place on earth
im glad i grew up there with actual seasons, access to the city, good schools, a million other things (SAyville, left in 92), the ocean.

it is hard to put this correct, but for me LI was just not happening at all, it's like there is nothing going on. if youre married have kids and a job, its ok, but if you want adventure, its totally boooooorrrrrrriiiiiinnngg
i've been in Berkeley Ca for 12 years. i love it. no winter, just a couple months of rain.
i wish i could visit Ny more though, and will eventually, still talk to my friends there, my parents still live in the same house.
havent been in a few years. also by coincidence bought a ticket in aug 01=
flew into JFK 10-19, so i experienced the aftermath. WTC remains were still burning
scary. penn station absolutely empty on a sunday, except for the military.
