Sahara Rose- Cool Hookah Lounge on Long Island

Awesome chill space on Long Island. They have dozens of flavors of shisha, and the hookahs are cheap. $5 per person with the first hookah free and $7each hookah thereafter. They are open from 10 pm every day until they close (1AM ish?)

If anyone is interested in joining me there, let me know. I go by myself a lot, but a hookah is a much better when it is shared.

Not on the Long Island Burners Tribe? Here's what your missing.

Call me a mushy sap, but I think this is a beautiful story. Long Island Burners fall in love as the Man burns and get married soon thereafter.
The Haters Version. Snark what you do not understand.
www.gawker.com/news/vanes...s-moby-2028

Concerning the snarky snarks, I am starting to realize that there is no point in attempting to disavow them of their foolish notions and misconceptions about Burning Man. They might change their mind and decide to come to the burn. Then we will have to deal with their annoyingness for a whole week. The community owes me a thank you for not responding.

Sincerely,
Wanna try something fun and different?!?!

What would you think if a friend of yours told you that they did the flying trapeze? Wouldn't you think that was so cool?? Wouldn't you want to be the one who is able to tell your friends that you did this??

I.Fly.LI, a flying trapeze and aerial arts school founded by two brothers, Marco and Anthony, has been teaching aerials all summer in Wantagh. Now, they are about to open up their flying rig.

Their Flying Trapeze opening was delayed in late June, but they've relocated and are finalizing negotiations on a new space. They should be setting up this coming weekend and hope to be officially opening their flying rig in Long Island the same weekend (Sunday August 20th). Check out their website for more details.

http://www.iflyli.com/index.html

I’ve been training on their static rig in Wantagh with them this summer. They’re great guys, and really good trapeze instructors! You definitely need to come fly with them!!!!

Plus, I will be helping out on weekends, so come on out and say Hi and see what it feels like to fly through the air with the greatest of ease!!

Check out my profile for a video of me doing a more advanced flying trick (not what you'd learn on your first time out!!) And for some photos of me doing different types of trapeze arts for an idea of what it's all about! Believe me, it's SOOOO much fun!!!

Seasonal Halloween costume store just opened up for any costume enthusiasts on Long Island. They have a pretty decent warehouse style selection, specially for Long Island. It is in Levittown on Hempstead turnpike where that Roller Rink used to be way back when.

Wondering if there are any people on here that used to live on LI but moved, for one reason or another. I used to live in North Merrick, until 9-11 (ok, it was a coincidence, and quite scary at that!).

I moved out to Arizona, where I have been living since. I have gone back to visit a couple of times, but there is never a good time to visit! The winters are too cold and the summers are too humid! I suppose April-June or Sept-Oct aren't too bad, but living in Arizona it's difficult to get used to the change in weather.

Anywho, was wondering what everyone's story is!

Rob & Christy were claiming to be from little tiny towns, but we have a lot of them here on wrong island. About 12 years ago, a cousin of mine Moved to Ridge, and said "what, New Jersey?".
And I lived on this island for 20+ years before I discovered Sea Cliff, where I lived for five years, and is still one of my favorites.

Lately, working out of Hampton Bays, I found Squiretown.

what are your little known Long Island towns?

Any nerds here going to I-CON this weekend? The annual Science Fiction convention that happens one weekened at SUNY Stony Brook. I love going just to see everyone in wacky Sci-Fi costumes! Check it out if you're also interested in RPG gaming, DDR (that's me), Horror cinema (me), and Cult cinema (me). It sounds real nerdy, but if you have obsessions with any of this stuff, it can be quite fun! But either way, us SBU students have nothing else better to do. Check it out. There's a website. I forget what it is. Time for Google.
